Facilitating contracts between the municipalities and the Wisconsin Humane Society to provide care for unsheltered animals.
Promoting education and awareness of our organization and the need to help unsheltered animals in Kewaunee County.
Assisting, when we can, with TNR for feral cats in the county.
Supporting local volunteers who feed and care for community animals.
Encouraging responsible pet ownership through education and outreach.

Welcome to A Cause for Paws — Helping the Unsheltered Animals of Kewaunee County
Kewaunee County has no Humane Society — and that means too many animals are left without help. We’re a group of citizens who decided it’s time to change that.
Our mission is simple: to make a difference for the unsheltered animals who have no one else.
We facilitate contracts between the municipalities in Kewaunee County and the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) to ensure unsheltered animals receive the care they need — including healthcare, spay/neuter services, and adoption opportunities.
We will work with organizations and vets for TNVR to reduce the overpopulation of stray cats through Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR), and we help provide cost-effective transport solutions for municipalities to move stray or injured animals safely to WHS.
By supporting responsible pet ownership and community-based education, we’re helping create a safer, kinder future for Kewaunee County’s animals.

Our mission
Facilitate contracts between local municipalities in Kewaunee County and the Wisconsin Humane Society for unsheltered animals, which can provide healthcare, spay/neuter services and adoption opportunities for those unsheltered animals.
Facilitate awareness of and work with organizations and vets in cooperation Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return (TNVR) to reduce the overpopulation of stray cats.
Facilitate a cost effective transport solution for each municipality to call upon to transport stray or injured animals to Wisconsin Humane Society.
